Amanda Earl

Amanda Earl writes and edits erotic fiction, poetry, restaurant and poetry reviews from an aerie high atop Ottawa, Canada. Working on the umpteenth draft of her first novel, Amanda is looking for a publisher. Her fiction appears in the Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica 2006, Vol. 5, on the ERWA site, Blue Food, Good Vibrations Magazine, Oysters and Chocolate, Unlikely Stories, and Xodtica. Her article "Freeing The Erotica Writer Within" appears on Voracity Beat.

Amanda discovered ERWA through a serendipitous web search in 2004, after having resigned from her position as co-owner of an engineering and scientific consulting firm to devote herself to writing.

Motivated by a desire to find kindred spirits isolated by society's puritanical views, Amanda writes to celebrate sex, sexuality and the joy of living, to shock, to provoke and to wake people up. She belongs to ERWA chiefly because of its tolerance. ERWA helps her hone her fiction and provides excellent resources and advice. Amanda wishes to thank Adrienne, Lisabet, the ERWA staff and its members for their continued labors of love to lure erotica out of the closet and into the loving arms of readers everywhere.

Beth Vox

Beth Vox is a very respectable woman living in Toronto, Canada. She is a wife, mother of two and psychotherapist. Don't let the trappings of respectability fool you, however. Beth admonishes you not to assume a thing about her or her life. Remember, respectability is a cover for many things. Imagine what it lets her get away with... She dares you.

Bob Buckley

Bob Buckley is a fiction editor at ERWA. In addition to his stories archived in ERWA's Treasure Chest, his work has most recently appeared in Maxim Jakubowski's Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica 2005.

Chris Bridges

Chris Bridges has been the headliner at HootIsland.com for over ten years now, mostly because the replacement act is still trying to find a taxi that will go to an island. Specializing in erotic humor, both in and out of bed, Chris joined ERWA in 2002 to try it for a few months and stayed for four years. Most of the stories in his anthologyGiggling Into the Pillow went through the ERWA gauntlet at one time or another and he hardly bled at all, really.

Chris Skilbeck

"Absences" is the first in a series of stories set in the post-apocalyptic New Celtic Fringe.

The author, Chris Skilbeck (who also writes as Tina Roberts), is a fifty-three year old factory foreman. He is a lapsed pagan and anarchist, has had more jobs and addresses than he can easily recall, and currently lives in West Wales with his wife and some cats.

Constantly both horrified and amused by the human condition, he tries to tend his garden and mind his own business. He found ERWA in 2001, and realised with an inner sigh of relief that there were other people in the world who regarded erotica as a valid genre of literature.

Daina Blue

Daina Blue is a thirty-something writer from the hot Southwest. Although she dabbles in nearly every story-telling arena, her main focus is on writing erotica, BDSM and historical romance/suspense. Working everyday to hone her writing skills, Daina's goal is to tell a story well enough for readers to feel they've actually been a part of the story.

Aside from her addiction to words, Daina's other passions include reading, photography, her daughter, and her Master. Daina's work can be seen on ERWA and Clean Sheets websites.

Dani Benjamin

Dani joined ERWA in April of 2003, in search of feedback from other writers. However, what she found was a community of supportive and generous people who would change her life. What had once been an entertaining hobby has become an avocation. Due to the support and encouragement of the ERWA group, Dani's first book Enhanced(written with Mackenzie Cross) was published by Pink Flamingo Publications in December of 2003.

Since then, Dani's work has been published online at ERWA, Clean Sheets and The Dominant's View and in print in Who's Your Daddy (edited by Justus Roux), and Velvet Heat: Erotic Poetry for the Carnal Mind (edited by Scott McMorrow).

Dani is currently working on a second book with Mackenzie Cross as well as several other projects. More of her work can be seen atwww.geocities.com/danibenjaminn.

Dani lives in New England with three dominant males: her husband, her son and a snaggle-toothed cat. The husband anchors her, the son encourages her to fly, and the cat demands worship. Surrounded by all that testosterone, her erotic muse can't help but be inspired.

Dominic Santi

Dominic Santi is a former technical editor turned rogue whose stories have appeared in many dozens of anthologies and magazines, includingBest American Erotica 2004, Best Bisexual Erotica, Best Transgender Erotica, several volumes of Best Gay Erotica and Friction, and most recently Freshmen: The Best, His Underwear, Luscious, and Garden of the Perverse. Santi's latest solo book is the German collection Kerle im Lustrausch -- Horny Guys (Gruno Gmunder).

Santi started out online as the section lead for Alternative Eros (the kink area) in CompuServe's now long gone Erotic Literature forum. In 1998, a "You gotta check this out!" note from an online friend and fellow editor led to ER(then without the W)A. Her handle tarrick3@aol.com has been on the lists there ever since.

Elizabeth Daniels

Elizabeth Daniels began her writing career as a reporter. Motivated by a masochistic streak, she changed careers and became an English teacher. Though she continued to feed her writing habit by freelancing articles, she found writing romance and erotica to be much more satisfying in every sense. Currently, she is living with her ideal husband and several spoiled animals and is working on her first novel. Her short erotic fiction has appeared in Darker Pleasures webzine. She is a member of RWA and has been with ERWA since 2003.

Helen E. H. Madden

Helen E. H. Madden is a writer and graphic artist who quit her lucrative day job as a government contractor to do something more interesting with her life, like writing dirty stories. Helen has been writing erotica since the 1990s when she sold her first story to PlayGirl magazine. She joined ERWA in 2004, shortly after her first child was born, and happily discovered she could write with one hand while nursing a baby in the other. She considers this form of multi-tasking a very useful skill, as child number two just arrived, and Helen has plenty more erotic tales to spin. When she's not writing, Helen devotes her working hours to computer graphics and animation. Her "Stick Figure Porno" cartoons (http://www.atomfilms.com/af/content/stick_figure_porno) are currently running at AtomFilms.com.

J. T. Benjamin

J.T. Benjamin lives in Colorado. He likes reading, writing, and talking about all kinds of different things, from history to science to law to religion to philosophy to sports. He says he's a "generalist" as opposed to a "specialist", and attributes this to an overall fascination with the entire world. Others blame a short attention span.

J.T. is especially interested in sex. "I write about sex because I like to read about sex," he proclaims. He also likes to talk about sex, philosophize about sex, and argue about sex, not to mention have sex as much as possible. This is all well and good, but it's very awkward and embarrassing for his loved ones when he brings up the topic at church socials.

J.T writes regularly for the Erotica Readers and Writers Association, including a monthly column called "All Worked Up", and a blog, "All Worked Up And Then Some" located at www.jtbenjamin@blogspot.com. He's argumentative, arrogant, stubborn, and downright obnoxious at times, but he means well and all in all, he's an okay fellow and a pretty good writer. He has four terrific children and a beautiful, long-suffering, incredibly patient, Lovely Wife whom he implicitly and foolishly trusts to write his bios for him.

Jaelyn

Jaelyn currently resides in Southern California and can be found in local parks and coffee houses scribbling new stories. She first joined Erotica Readers Association late 1999. Early in 2000 her first stories and flashers were published in the galleries. The encouragement from the other members and Adrienne not only helped her mature as a writer but also gave her confidence to live the life she had previously been too timid to claim. Jaelyn's stories have also been featured on Peacockblue.com, Myerotica.net and Amoret's flash fiction.

Jean Roberta

Jean Roberta lives in the Canadian heartland, far from any city. She had written a few sex stories before joining the Erotic Readers Association in 1998, and kept them hidden. Her erotic stories have now appeared in over forty print anthologies as well as other venues. The group now called ERWA has been the wind beneath her wings.

john e

john e was born in the 50s (in the twentieth century) in New York and now lives in California where he works at a winery. His poems and stories have be presented on numerous websites including ERWA (of course), Clean Sheets, Slow Trains, Mind Caviar, Ophelia's Muse, Unlikely Stories, Mannequin Envy, The Hiss Quarterly, and others.

Along with PJ he also "unModerates" SPIT TOON, a poetry forum. On the blogwagon he attempts to maintain a mostly-poetry blog, Caving In. Single father to two sons, in love with his high school sweetheart, and that's about it.

Jude Mason

When Jude Mason discovered the internet, she knew it was going to be something special for her, and her writing. She'd always written, but the dream of having something published was just that, a dream. A lot of hard work, some very good luck and couple of year's time, brought her to the doorstep of ERWA, or ERA as it was known back then. It's where she learned a great deal about the craft of writing, editing and publishing. 1999, was a very good year. And it's getting better all the time.

Now, you'll find Jude's name in such places as the ERWA Treasure Chest, Amazon.com, Venus Press LLC, Renaissance eBooks and Barnes & Noble.com. She has work in both print and eBook formats and if you'd like to keep abreast of what she's doing, visit her website, http://www.my-haven2001.com or join her Yahoo newsletter group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Jude_Masons_Haven/

Still a member of the ERWA, Jude doesn't participate as much as she'd like, but she's writing and being published, and loving every moment of it. Her dream hasn't changed, but now she's living it.

J.Z. Sharpe

Sharpe writes nothing but fiction; her efforts have appeared in various print and Internet venues, including MOIST, Scarlet Letters, Black Sheets, Biblio Eroticus, Hoot Island, Mind Caviar, Heated Rush,The Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica 5, and of course, the Erotica Readers and Writers Association galleries.

Julius

Julius? A nom-de-plume of course. He's English-born, presently living on the east coast of Canada. Now in the late Autumn of his years, he finally has the time to indulge his interest in writing. He loves women, loves sex, loves writing about both - so he just has to write erotica, doesn’t he?

Back in 2001 he stumbled upon ERWA, with all its charms and charmers. A magic five years and two hundred stories later, here he is, still day-dreaming of warm maids in hot situations and trying to get it all down on paper.

Whence comes all the inspiration? Mostly from Aspire, his delicious partner.

Kathleen Bradean

Kathleen Bradean's stories can be found in Amazons: Sexy Tales of Strong Women, Best of Best Women's Erotica, Blood Surrender, and Garden of the Perverse, as well as Clean Sheets and of course the Erotica Readers and Writer's Association website. Keziah Hill

Keziah Hill was born and raised in Sydney, Australia, but now lives west of her home town in the beautiful Blue Mountains. She likes to combine her love of crime and suspense writing with erotica. When she's not writing, she's reading voraciously and trying to get on top of the weeds in her garden. Some more of her stories can be found at http://www.keziahhill.com.

Lisabet Sarai

Madelynne lives in the UK with her partner, and their two children. When she's not writing, she enjoys organising and participating in period horror weekends, where she gets to demonstrate her costume- making and theatrical make-up skills.

Visit her website www.madelynne-ellis.com or blog www.madelynne-ellis.blogspot.com for news of upcoming releases and examples of her work.

Michael Michele

Michael Michele delves into the many facets of human sexuality in tales that range from the horrific to the romantic - if someone is turned on, Michael wants to write about it, in stories that are entertaining, arousing and often surprising.

See more of Michael's work in Red Scream magazine, and Garden of the Perverse: Fairy Tales for Twisted Adults, as well as in the treasury on the ERWA website.

You can email him at: Michael__michele@hotmail.com.

Nan Andrews

Nan Andrews would like to be considered a Renaissance woman, but given how poorly women were treated back then, maybe she should be considered a Renaissance man in drag. She has been an active member of the Erotic Readers and Writers Association for three years, publishing numerous stories and flashers in the galleries and she has a story entitled "At Rest" in the Treasure Chest. In addition to ERWA, her work can be found at SensualVenus.com, BlueFood.cc and SexAppeal.org.uk. Other stories have appeared on JustusRoux.com and Litbits.ca. She is currently working on a lesbian novella featuring sex, drugs and a few Harleys, as well as a detective novel set in New York City during the 1920's.

Rachel McIntyre

Writing has maintained my sanity through some very difficult times. Venting my raging emotions, darkest thoughts, and wildest fantasies has long been a hobby of mine. Now, it's my life.

I've written political humor for a website, published a couple literary fiction short stories, and won an online romance writing contest. These days, I mostly write romance, chick-lit, and erotica.

My erotica has appeared in the Erotica Readers and Writers Association's Feature Galleries, Logical Lust (www.logical-lust.com), and Literotica.com (under the pseudonym SexySoBeChick). My short story, "Come Away With Me," can be found in the erotic e-book anthology Eternal Bonds. Most recently, my flash fiction piece, "His Salvation," won Logical Lust's 2005 Flash Fiction Challenge and another piece, "Fucking Tech Support," was awarded Funniest Entry.

Shortly after I began writing erotica in 2003, a writer whose work I edited introduced me to ERWA. Joining ERWA was one of the best things I've ever done. ERWA has been an incredible resource, allowing me to find a broader market for my work, improve my writing, and commune with other writers, editors, and publishers.

I make my home in sunny Florida and always appreciate feedback at sexysobechick@hotmail.com.

Remittance Girl

Rose B. Thorny

Rose B. Thorny is the pen name of a lusty, lively wench half way through her sixth decade on Earth. Note the silent "T" in "Thorny" as Rose notes "Ouch!" isn't necessarily ill uttered. Originally hailing from Ontario, Canada, she now resides on a wooded New England estate -- otherwise known as marginal, overgrown farmland -- with her husband, one dog, and four cats.

Penning her first serious effort at erotica, Rose discovered ERWA following links of a karmic chain precipitated by a search for an Aristotlian quotation. A member since May 2005, she came to ERWA because the site had "upscale" written all over it and the denizens appeared erudite, articulate, and randy as all get out. She stayed because first impressions proved entirely correct.

While other literary offerings appeared in ERWA Galleries, "The Rigby Legacy" is her first print published work.

Seneca Mayfair

Hi, I'm Mary Beth. Seneca Mayfair thinks I'm a character whose adventures she's recorded in several of her stories. What does she know, eh? This will keep the silly woman guessing about what is real for a long time to come. Me, a character in one of her stories!

Anyway, Seneca is a Capricorn with her moon in Scorpio and Libra rising. I know this because she tells everyone this and I'm really rather tired of hearing it but she thinks it defines her so I'm sort of forced into including it in this bio. Sigh. Seneca disdains the notion of a muse since she believes only real writers have muses. Personally, I think she has a problem with reality in general so I wouldn't pay any attention to this muse nonsense. The chick loves Popeye's biceps and Olive Oyl's wardrobe – go figure. She lives in Cloud and Rain, Washington, and isn't exactly sure how she landed up where the sun don't shine.

I guess I should say something about her stories. “Oh, I have to do my stories. Don't bother me,” she says gulping down a Starbucks Americano. Gawd, if I have to watch her prancing around pretending to be F. Scott Fitzgerald one more time, I'm going to make like Hemingway and blow my brains out. But, I'll wait until after I write this bio.

Anyway, Seneca has written a number of stories, which have appeared inErotic Travel Tales, Garden of the Perverse, Sacred Exchange, and on websites such as Scarlet Letters, Hoot Island and the Dominant's View. She's been a member of the Erotica Readers and Writers Association since the summer of 2000, where she occasionally provides expert librarian's advice on the Writers list and silences all opposers with her erudition. Her main claim to fame is riding on the silk dress train of that Aquarian woman Lisabet, Lisabet aka Lisabet Sarai with whom she had the good fortune to co-edit the anthologySacred Exchange. I can't really recommend the book to you, because I'm not in it. (But I can...! Editor)

Sidney Durham

Sidney Durham was once an erotica writer masquerading as a businessman. He joined ERWA in 1999, after sharing his stories in alt.sex.stories for a couple of years. He discovered ERWA by accident, probably while surfing for the latest information on eternal youth. He has since had stories published in several places, most recently in Susie Bright's Best American Erotica 2006. He lives among the beautiful red rocks in the high desert of of northern Arizona with two cats, a dog, a 300-year-old juniper tree, and the woman, a brilliant writer herself, who has owned half of his soul forever but took her own sweet time finding him. He is now older than the juniper tree, but he is responding very nicely to large doses of Latina passion. Eternal youth wasn't that difficult to find after all.

Sydney Beier

Sydney Beier recently returned to America, after living in Germany for three years, with her husband. They now contemplate existence *auf* English from a little house nestled in the woods north of Seattle. She happened upon Erotica Readers and Writers Association while searching the Internet for places to showcase her smut. As a proud member since 2003, she cherishes all she's learned and the friends she's made. In addition to writing, she dabbles in photography. Her images have been featured in Alaskan tourism publications and newspapers. Her fiction has been published in Best Women's Erotica 2006, at Erotica Readers and Writers Association, Clean Sheets and in Logical Lust's ebook, Eternally Erotic.

Teresa Lamai

Teresa Lamai lives in the Pacific Northwest. She discovered ERWA in 2003 and was captivated and inspired by the erotic writing there; “Alchemy” was her first erotic story. Since then her work has appeared in Best Women's Erotica, Best Lesbian Erotica, Lips Like Sugar: Women's Erotic Fantasies,Best Lesbian Romance (all from Cleis Press); Dying for It: Stories of Sex and Death (Thunder's Mouth) andMammoth Book of Best New Erotica (Carroll and Graf). She's recently completed a collection of dance-inspired erotica called Swayed to Music and a novella entitled Planet Justine.

Teresa Wymore

Teresa grew up in Iowa and had a quietly painful childhood before marrying an emotionally inaccessible man. Marital attrition evolved into a renaissance of hedonism before she stumbled across the love of her life. She found the Erotica Readers and Writers Association through serendipity and hangs around the "storytime" list to see just how decadent she can possibly become. She's a reluctant Mensan, a sexist Feminist, a resistant Catholic, a monogamous Bisexual, and generally incapable of any orthodoxy. She's authored novels and shorts in several genres of erotic fiction because she believes an eroticized equality will save the world. You can find out more than you wanted to know about her writing and opinions by visiting http://www.teresawymore.com.

Thomas S. Roche

Thomas S. Roche began writing his first erotic novel when he was 17 and sold that first erotic novel two years later. Since then he has produced more than 400 published short stories, most of them erotica but many also covering the fields of horror, dark fantasy, crime and science fiction. He has also written, cowritten, edited or coedited edited more than 40 books under various pseudonyms, but is best known under his own name for the Noirotica series of erotic crime-noir anthologies, for his collaborative collections His and Hers, and for his four anthologies of horror fiction. Along the way he has served editorial time at Good Vibrations, Gothic.Net, 13thStreet.com, GettingIt.com, and several other websites. He is currently the Managing Editor of Eros Zine (www.eros-zine.com) and maintains his own website at www.skidroche.com and a blogs at http://www.livejournal.com/users/thomasroche and http://pulpfriction.typepad.com. In his spare time, he works as a training staff instructor with nonprofit San Francisco Sex Information ( www.sfsi.org). He has been a fan of the Erotica Readers and Writers Association since its inception, and still finds almost daily inspiration at the site.

Tulsa Brown

Tulsa Brown is a Canadian author who donned a hat and sunglasses in 2003 to sneak away from her usual genre and into erotica. Her stories have appeared in over a dozen anthologies and she's won first place in both the CleanSheets.com and Desdmona.com competitions, as well as being a runner-up for the prestigious Rauxa Prize for Erotic Literature in 2005. Her gay romance is available at TorquerePress.com and absolutely none of it would have been possible without the fantastic readers, editors and encouragers of ERWA.
